Health on Earth examined the link between body size and health in this week's episode.
First we spoke with Jackie of the It Gets Fatter Project. The project started very recently and focuses on body positivity. She explains why she believes that the link between 'fatness' and health is tenuous at best.
Next we spoke with a McGill Nutrition professor Rejeanne Gougeon who studies type 2 diabetes in humans. According to her, fat distribution can be more important than BMI or weight in determining someone's risk for diabetes.
