This week we focused on the book "Piecing the Puzzle" by Larry Krotz. The book details the history of AIDS research in Africa. Dr. Allan Ronald, an infectious disease doctor from the University of Manitoba who was a major player in the preliminary research.

We spoke with the two of them about the current state of the AIDS epidemic and the epidemiology of its spread. Later in the show, we touch on the state of AIDS in Canada. a fascinating look at a socially and biologically complex and as yet uncured disease.
