This week, we examined the complex and often overlooked issue of water and sanitation.
We speak with Steve Sauder from the University of Toronto's Center for Global Engineering. Steve's is a passionate advocate of public education and also works with many First Nations communities. His work revolves around water and sanitation; he is current redesigning the toilet and is in charge of a water access reporting service called Water Voices.
He posits that the aid community is in need of a paradigm shift. To be sustainable,one must integrate some business mentality into the project.
